The only child of Alexander and Joy Martin, Danielle was treated like a little princess. She had a happy childhood, which resulted in her becoming a happy, hyper, cheerful young woman. Growing up in a small town also contributed to Dani's overabundant friendliness. If you saw the same people everyday, everywhere you went around town, it was better (in her opinion) to be friendly with them all. Of course, her best friend is and always has been her neighbor, Elijah Andersen. After graduating from high school, Dani could have gone to college, but she lacked the concentration to do well in formal education, so instead of wasting the time and money by going to college, she decided instead to stick around in Hollow Creek. Although still living with her parents, she works several part-time jobs.
